a little background information.

yeah, i'm definitely a cat person.

annie and i went to see the stray cats on parliament hill this weekend. only two came close enough for me to get a good picture. here is one of them.

i don't know the name or gender of this one, but he/she seemed much younger and cleaner than the other one. he/she sat around the cat man for a while, trying to hold a meaningful conversation, before coming up to sleep on a piece of styrofoam laid out on an old chair by the fence. he/she is not at all provoked by the steady stream of squirrels running past to steal cat food. none of the cats seem to mind.

as you may have noticed, i put this under "city life". i tried animals first, but i had to choose between wild and domestic and couldn't. city life seems more accurate.
